Watch: Clemson football player spits on NC State fan after upset loss
Clemson football player E.J. Williams spit on NC State football fans while walking off the field.
Clemson football player E.J. Williams appears to spit on NC State football fans who stormed the field after the Tigers were upset on Saturday.
It has been a frustrating season for the Tigers, to say the least. While Dabo Swinney’s team can still win the ACC, they are no longer in contention for the College Football Playoff. Though this is the worst year in Clemson football since at least 2014, Williams appearing to spit on NC State fans who rushed Carter-Finley is a terrible look.

While this is one of the potential downsides to fans rushing the field, Williams and Clemson should be used to fans coming on the field by now.
They do it after every home win to celebrate with their fan base. Well, to the victor goes the spoils, and Clemson had to deal with the consequences of losing to NC State for the first time since 2011 when Mike Glennon played quarterback for Tom O’Brien.
Clemson still has to play the two unbeaten ACC teams this year: Boston College and Wake Forest.
