Wales coach Wayne Pivac set to hand Jac Morgan his Test debut in Six Nations clash against Scotland
Wales head coach Wayne Pivac is set to make a huge selection call by handing Ospreys flanker Jac Morgan his full Test debut in their Six Nations clash against Scotland in Cardiff
- Wales’ forwards were outgunned in the 29-7 defeat by Ireland last weekend
- Jac Morgan is set to make his international bow in the back-row on Saturday
- The Ospreys flanker is poised to team up with Taine Basham and Ross Moriarty
Jac Morgan is poised to make a Test debut from the start as Wales look to bounce back from a first round Six Nations humbling against Scotland on Saturday.
After a 29-7 defeat by Ireland in Dublin in which Wales’ forwards were outgunned, handing 22-year-old Morgan an international bow in the back-row is a big call by Wales head coach Wayne Pivac.
The Ospreys flanker is poised to be joined in a Welsh loose forward trio by Taine Basham – Wales’ standout performer in round one – and the returning Ross Moriarty.

It means Ellis Jenkins and Aaron Wainwright are both likely to drop out of the Wales side from the one which played at the Aviva Stadium.
Wales are the defending Six Nations champions, but their hopes of back-to-back titles will be over unless they win against a Scottish side riding high after Calcutta Cup victory over England.
Gregor Townsend’s men haven’t won in Cardiff since 2002.

They will face a Welsh side desperate to make amends for their Irish defeat in front of a sold-out Principality Stadium crowd of 74,000.
Pivac is unlikely to make any further serious changes to his side although he must decide on whether to keep Josh Adams at centre or move him back to his favoured wing position.
Adams made his first Test start at centre in Ireland, but was yellow carded for a reckless tackle on Johnny Sexton.
Wales will be captained by Dan Biggar who will win his 100th Test cap against Scotland.
