Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh, Divya Dutta attend Aan screening at Dilip Kumar Film Festival – Times of India

Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu was joined by leading ladies like Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh on the evening. Dilip Kumar and Waheeda Rehman had worked together in multiple movies like Ram Aur Shyam (which is part of the screening list at the film festival), Aamir and Dil Diya Dard Liya. Asha Parekh though didn’t feature prominently as Dilip Kumar’s female lead, did work in the same film as him with Ghar Ki Izzat. The actresses joined Saira Banu to light the lamp at the event before the screening.

Also present at the event was Divya Dutta, who has admittedly been a huge fan and admirer of both Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. The event was also attended by Poonam Sinha. No surprises there as Poonam’s husband Shatrughan Sinha has been an admirer of Dilip Kumar since the beginning of his career. They also worked together in Kranti.

After the Aan screening, the Film Festival is slated to showcase Shakti, where Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan faced off for the first time. Dilip Kumar’s Ram Aur Shyam and Devdas are the other movies to be showcased tomorrow.
