Vodafone reportedly discontinues its RedX postpaid plans – Times of India

Vodafone has reportedly removed its most-premium lineup of postpaid plans from its portfolio. As reported by TelecomTalk, Vodafone has removed the RedX plans from its postpaid plan lineup. The report adds that the existing RedX plan users can continue to use the plan but new users cannot register for them. Also, the company has removed the RedX plans from its app.
The report also added that some of the Vi physical stores are still offering the RedX plans but they are not listed online. All of the RedX plans from Vodafone are priced above Rs 1,000 and they offer many benefits to the users. The service provider offers three RedX plans — Rs 1,099 for individual and Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,299 for family plans.
As part of the RedX plans users will get unlimited data, 100 SMS per month and one-year subscription to Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar and Vi movies. Along with this, the Vodafone RedX plan users also get access to lounges at international and domestic airports for a year.
Recently, Vi partnered with the gaming platform CareGame. As part of this partnership, the telecom operator aims to offer 5G cloud gaming experience to users in India. “The online gaming industry is among the fastest growing entertainment segments in India and with the advent of 5G it is expected to grow many folds. Mobile gaming is a key agenda for us to drive engagement with our consumers”, Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Idea, said in a statement.
