Vivek Agnihotri says he kept limping and ignored cartilage tear while working on ‘The Kashmir Files’ – Times of India

Vivek Agnihotri has penned a note on Twitter, revealing the cartilage tear he ignored while working on ‘The Kashmir Files’. The filmmaker revealed that the knee damage has given him a stress fracture too and that he has finally started therapy for his injury.

“Finally, knee therapy begins. Fully ignored Miniscus (cartilage tear) for 1.5 yrs due to #TheKashmirFiles. Kept limping. It became worse. Now I also have stress fracture. Whenever I have to chose between body and work, I end up compromising on my body. Must change this attitude.” He also shared pictures from the day when he ended up with the injury and wrote, “This was the day – 24th Dec 2020. When I slipped and tore my Cartilage. Doctors asked me to rest it out for 6-8 weeks. But like they say, Show Must Go On. Show went on, uninterrupted, for next 18 months but my knee worsened. Today, whom do I blame for ‘self-inflicted-fracture’?”

Vivek Agnihotri helmed ‘The Kashmir Files’ released in March this year and has emerged as one of this biggest blockbusters. It narrated the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s. ‘The Kashmir Files’ featured Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Puneet Issar in pivotal roles.
