Viral Video Shows Dosa Being Made In Printer; Internet Is Not Impressed

This savoury Indian crepe is a popular breakfast item in South India and is typically cooked on a tawa. But how would you react if we told you that you could make dosa in a printer? Yes, you heard us. In a video that has gone viral on the internet, a woman can be seen making this South Indian delicacy in a ‘dosa printer’. Netizens were not quite impressed with this method of cooking dosa.

In a video uploaded by Instagram food blogger @thegreatindianfoodie, we can see a woman pouring ready-made dosa batter in a ‘smart’ kitchen appliance called ‘dosa printer’. She adds some salt and water to the batter and gives it a nice mix. The woman then switches on the appliance and the dosa batter starts rolling on the machine. She also drizzles oil over the dosa while it’s being cooked. Once done, the dosa automatically rolls out from the other side, just like an actual printer. “Dosa printing machine. Dosa ab technically style me banega (Dosa will now be made in style)” read the caption of the post. Take a look:

Since being uploaded, the video has garnered over 5.2 million views, 174 K likes and hundreds of comments. Internet users were not impressed with this technique of making dosa. Some people also admitted that their mother could make a better dosa than this. Check out some of the reactions below:
