Viral: Nigerian chef cooking non-stop for 100 hours is inspiring – Times of India

When you do what you love with passion, it always helps create new ways for success and bring in recognition. And food, being a form of art, requires attention and a hint of love to make it flavorful. A Nigerian chef named Hilda Baci has proven that passion can take you places. The 27-year-old chef was recently trending on Twitter for spending nearly 100 hours preparing meals non-stop, aiming to set a new world record with her extraordinary talent.

As per the tweet, the cooking session started on Thursday and ended on Monday. Her aim is to set a world record for the longest-ever cooking session by an individual. For the record, she prepared a mix of local and foreign dishes, including jollof rice, pasta, and bean flour. As far as the rules are considered, she was allowed a five-minute break every hour, which she had the liberty to accumulate over the course of multiple hours, and a single assistant as well. When she went viral and cooked for almost 100 hours, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and other politicians congratulated her on her attempt.

For the uninitiated, the current record was held in 2019 by Chef Lata Tondon for 87 hours and 45 minutes. Interestingly, even Guinness World Records tweeted about her attempt and wrote, “Our records team is looking forward to reviewing the evidence from Hilda’s epic cooking marathon.”
