Vindu Dara Singh slams Adipurush for destroying Hanuman’s legacy, a role his father Dara Singh had played perfectly in Ramayana | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

It seems that the stars themselves are not favouring the film, Adipurush, for it keeps running into one controversy after another. Now, Vindu Dara Singh has spoken out against the new film and has slammed the makers for ruining the character of Hanuman, a role that was played by his father, Dara Singh in the Ramanand Sagar version of Ramayana that hit TV screens back in the ‘80s.
Hanuman was always depicted as “powerful and smiling” said Vindu Dara Singh. The actor, Devdatta Nage who plays Hanuman can’t even speak proper Hindi, lamented Vindu, who added that the new film has destroyed the legacy left behind by the iconic TV series, Ramayana, according to HT.
His complaint was that the new film has not been faithful to the story and has distorted facts or introduced new elements that has ruined the legacy left behind by the actors who acted in the Ramanand Sagar version. Vindu added that the makers of Adipurush seem to have added features that they thought would appeal to the younger generation who watch Marvel movies like Thor.
Vindu, like his father, has also played Hanuman in plays and in the film, Jai Veer Hanuman. He said the new makers of Adipurush have destroyed the mythological story and made it a “lousy product”.
