Vijay Varma looks back at the time when he had no projects in hand- Exclusive | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Vijay Varma is currently riding high with the success of projects like She, Darlings and Dahaad. His career trajectory changed courses with the success of Gully Boy, where he played the character of Moeen, and since then, there has been no looking back for the actor. However, there was also a point in time when he was struggling, as none of his films were releasing.Post his debut film Chittagong, there was a phase when his films like Monsoon Shootout (got screened at Cannes) and Yaara (directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia ) were unable to find takers.
Life has indeed turned a full circle for Vijay, as he now has nearly five projects lined up with a streaming platform, apart from theatrical releases and web shows. Looking back at the journey, Vijay exclusively told ETimes, “I think I have seen the entire journey and what I learned in that waiting period was how to be patient, how not to lose sense of self and how to keep my sanity intact.”
He further said, “This apart, I knew I needed to continue working on my craft and many other things, and all of this came collectively together. The efforts I have put in the last few years are bearing fruit right now.”
He finally added, “I thoroughly enjoyed my journey through the ups, downs and all the waiting. At the end of the day, I haven’t even met one person in Mumbai who did not go through his/her share of struggles before making it.”
