Vidya Balan: l am very impatient and get easily bored as an audience | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Vidya Balan is known to have played an array of characters in her career as an actor. The secret behind the variety of projects that she picks up is that she chooses them not as an actor, but as an audience.
As she arrived to promote her upcoming release, Vidya said, “l am very impatient and get easily bored as an audience. So when I read something primarily, I ask myself would I like to watch this? Then ofcourse I figure whether this character calls out to me.Director is very-very crucial, also the producer… You can only make the right film with the right kind of producer (is backing it).”
She adds, “Main hameesha bhookhi hoti hu. Jaise mujhe har type ka khaana achcha lagta hai, waise mujhe har type ke role achche lagte hai.”
The actor is ecstatic that her film is finally releasing in theatres, after a series of projects that released on OTT. She said, “There is a lot of excitement because my last outing in theatres was Mission Mangal, which did very well. So, fingers crossed. I am busy doing promotions and the good thing about promotions is that you don’t get the time to feel the pressure, we get so tired by the end of the day and you don’t get the time to process what you’re feeling.”

Ask her if she likes being called an actor or a star and she signs off saying, “I like being called an acting star.”
