Vicky Kaushal talks about growing up in a middle class family, reveals he was never allowed to solo drive the family car | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Inspite of the fact that Vicky Kaushal came from a family that was connected to movies (his father Sham Kaushal was an action director), the actor has had extremely humble beginnings, sans loads of money or fame. In a recent interview, the actor opened up on how his parents always kept him and his younger brother Sunny grounded.

In a chat with a leading entertainment portal, Vickysaid that their father always told them that while all necessities will be provided to them, for luxuries, they had to work hard and achieve them on their own.

He also went on to say that when he was just starting out his career, they had a car but he was never allowed to drive it alone, for leisure purposes. It always had to be with the family or to drop his mom for Yoga etc. He said that it was made clear to him that he needs to earn his own car if he wants to drive it.
In the same interview, he also spoke about his wife Katrina and said that it is strange how Katrina is so practical when it comes to work, even though as a person she’s a typical Cancerian who is emotional and senstive. He further said that with the kind of experience she has, Katrina has her ground reality so right, that it helps Vicky and is one of the biggest support that he gets from her – that his wife will blurt out the fact as a fact, especially when it comes to his performance, a film’s trailer or anything to do with work.
