Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor’s clash at the box office confirmed, ‘Sam Bahadur’ won’t be moved to another date | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Vicky Kaushal garnered a lot of praises for ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ and the film proved to be a hit at the box office. The actor will be seen next in Meghna Gulzar‘s ‘Sam Bahadur‘. The film is based on Field Marshall Sam Maneckshaw’s life. The makers had announced the film’s release on December 1, 2022 along with the first look of the movie. ‘Sam Bahadur’ is set to release on December 1, 2023 and the release date was announced exactly a year in advance.
However, now Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal‘ has also chosen the same release date. Earlier the movie was supposed to release on August 11, but the makers decided to postpone the film’s release date. It was said that the VFX work will take more time hence it will be pushed, however, they also wanted to avoid clash with Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’. They’ve now decided to release ‘Animal’ on December 1. Hence, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal would have a clash at the box office. While one thought that ‘Sam Bahadur’ might change its release date, producer Ronnie Screwvala has confirmed that they won’t budge.
Ronnie said in an interview that they had announced the release date of ‘Sam Bahadur’ a year in advance and they will come on that day, come what may! The film is based on one of the greatest men in the country and the audience would support them. Moreover, he isn’t scared with the clash because eventually, good content works in the longer run and it’s no longer about the Friday openings.
‘Sam Bahadur’ also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh. Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ has Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna alongside Ranbir.
