Varun Dhawan wishes happy birthday to Gigi Hadid, shares a picture from his performance at NMACC – Times of India

Varun Dhawan had performed at the NMACC gala after-party along with other celebs like Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan. But what became a major talking point is how Varun lifted Gigi Hadid in his arms and gave her a peck on the cheek. The video went viral and netizens criticised this act of his because they thought it was without her consent.
However, Varun soon clarified his stance and said that the act was pre-planned. Gigi also shared a picture with Varun on her story and thanked him for fulfilling her Bollywood dream.

It’s Gigi’s birthday today and Varun sent her wishes by sharing that same picture from NMACC where he can be seen lifting her. He wrote, “Happy birthday @gigihadid, keep shining, keep smiling.”

Gigi won hearts in India as she was dressed in a customised Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree at the NMACC. Hadid also made the most of her time in India.

Meanwhile, Varun is shooting for ‘Citadel’ with Samantha Ruth Prabhu at the moment. The Indian version of the spy thriller is helmed by Raj and DK. Recently, Varun and Samantha had also attended the premiere of the Americal ‘Citadel’ in London. It stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Samantha and Varun made heads turn as they twinned in black.

Varun will also be seen next in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Bawaal’ alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
