Varun Dhawan recalls his first meeting with ‘Bawaal’ co-star Janhvi Kapoor: ‘She broke the glass in her hand’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Varun Dhawan, who is currently promoting his upcoming film, ‘Bawaal‘ with his co-star Janhvi Kapoor, spoke about his first meeting with the actress.
Spilling some beans on the same, Varun told a news portal that the first time he met her was at a party, after the film had been confirmed. Varun added that she was happy to see him and was probably going to hug him. However, her joy went a notch above, and she broke the glass in her hand. Varun went on to say that he was amused by her, and the more he got to know her, he realised that she is one of a kind.

Armed with a good co-star, a solid script and Tiwari’s guidance, Dhawan went into the world of Bawaal. Sharing the details, Varun added that the director and he would talk about his character a lot. How does Ajju talk? What are his relationships like? The actor revealed that he had a strong Anil Kapoor reference for Ajju. One of the technical changes Nitesh made was to make him say his lines slower. He would act out the emotional scenes. According to him, that’s the benefit of working with a writer-director; you know exactly what the vision is.

Talking about his takeaway from the movie, Varun stated that if one works with a good writer and director, the performance will be good. He went through introspection and signed three films—Bhediya, Jugjugg Jeeyo and Bawaal. According to him, these films have given him the strength to choose different stories.
‘Bawaal’ will be released on an OTT platform on July 21, 2023.
