It’s a conversation starter about the fake image industry and how today we are all in someway slaves to this ideology. Thank u for watching and enjoying Ajju and his family. You are #bawaal”
The Nitesh Tiwari directorial has received a shout out from ‘Jawan’ director Atlee as well.
Penning a glowing review of the movie, Atlee wrote, “#Bawaal , a feel-good watch. A great craft in its own novelist way. Felt like reading a book and visualising it. Great performances from all the actors, @Varun_dvn sir has rendered a top notch one in this film. #JanhviKapoor was superb Congratulations to @niteshtiwari21 and the entire cast and crew. .” Expressing gratitude, Varun Dhawan replied, “Thank u sir see u sooon.” Interestingly, Varun Dhawan is all set to join forces with Atlee’s production house. He will be seen essaying the lead in the official Hindi remake of Atlee’s directorial ‘Theri’, but this movie will be helmed by Kalees.
Speaking about the film, director Nitesh had previously shared, “It’s a layered piece and a contemporary relationship film. In the world that we live in, negativity spreads faster today. I wanted positivity to stand a chance. Bawaal is about love versus hatred, empathy against indifference and fake versus real. There are characters in the film fighting an internal war. How does that get juxtaposed to World War 2, is what the film is all about.”
