‘Uunchai’ box-office collection day 4: This Sooraj Barjatya film has a decent Monday better than Friday – Times of India
What’s further interesting is that while the Monday collections of the film have dropped from Sunday, it’s still better than friday. ‘Uunchai’ had a collection of 1.75 crore nett on Monday which is more than its opening day collection of 1.65crore. The Monday collections of the film are pretty decent. With that, it’s total 4-day collection is now 11 crore nett as per trade website boxofficeindia.com.
The numbers in pockets like Rajasthan, CP Berar and Gujarat are good but the collection from metros is down. One hopes that the film continues to remain steady for the next three days but where it lands on Friday will be the deciding factor. This Friday sees the release of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam 2’ which already has a very encouraging advance booking.
So, from Friday, ‘Uuchaai’ will face competition from this Ajay Devgn-Tabu film hence it has few more days to gain its momentum further as its an open window. But the film has done decent so far, despite competition from the Hollywood release, ”Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
