‘Uunchai’ box office collection day 2: Amitabh Bachchan-Anupam Kher starrer jumps 100%, rakes in Rs 3.25 crore nett – Times of India
On Saturday, ‘Uunchai’ earned Rs 3.25 crore nett, which is double of its opening day collection. At the end of two days, this friendship drama has earned Rs 4.90 crore nett, reports boxofficeindia. The film fell slightly short of the Rs 5 crore mark. Interestingly, the kind of growth recorded by ‘Uunchai’ is rare for post-pandemic original Hindi film releases. ‘Uunchai’ collection has jumped 100% in most of the circuits, be it Mumbai, Delhi / UP, CP Berar or CI. ‘Uunchai’ narrates the story of longtime friends played by Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa. They go off to the Everest Base Camp, in order to fulfill Dann Denzongpa’s wish. ‘Uunchai’ marks Sooraj Barjatya’s seventh film as a director and also features Sarika, Neena Gupta and Parineeti Chopra in pivotal roles. At the box office, ‘Uunchai’ clashed with Hollywood biggie ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, which has been earning big.
