USMNT thrashes Grenada 7-1 to stay unbeaten in CONCACAF Nations League as Anthony Hudson’s team put USSF drama behind them with win
The United States Men’s National Team thrashed CONCACAF minnows Grenada 7-1 in St George’s on Friday night.
Already undefeated in the CONCACAF Nations League, the Stars and Stripes never looked in danger while in the capital.
Ricardo Pepe scored the opener in the fourth minute and finished with a brace. So too, did Weston McKennie.
While the Premier League’s American stars – Christian Pulisic and Brenden Aaronson – also got on the score sheet.
Alejandro Zendejas rounded off proceedings with the US’ seventh and final goal. More importantly, it was his first goal as a USMNT player after pledging his allegiance to America over Mexico.
Interim coach Anthony Hudson’s team provided an emphatic response to the off-field controversies which have brewed since the US crashed out of the World Cup to Holland in December.
