US Navy officers perform Kal Ho Naa Ho song at a dinner party; Karan Johar reacts – Times of India

Bollywood films and their songs are celebrated all over the world. Recently a group of US Navy officers perfomed the melodious title track from Karan Johar’s hit film ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. Now the filmmaker has reacted to the same.

Sharing a video snippet of the US Navy officers playing the Kal Ho Naa Ho title track at a dinner party, Karan wrote, “And the song lives on @Javedakhtarjadu @iamsrk @Shankar_Live @EhsaanNoorani #Loy @nikkhiladvani”

In the video, a US Navy officer is seen playing a guitar while a male and female officer sing the song in Hindi. The title song, originally sung by Sonu Nigam was a massive hit. The 2003 film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. Helmed by Nikkhil Advani, the film was a critical and commercial hit and also one of the highest-grossing films of that year.

Earlier, director Nikkhil Advani revealed that the film’s producer Karan Johar regretted not directing the film himself. “He wrote it from his heart. But, I think, he underestimated himself… Now when he says that, I feel his pain,” he added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Johar is hosting the seventh season of his talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’. He is all set to make his directorial comeback after almost five years with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles.
