US Ambassador Eric Garcetti meets Shah Rukh Khan at Mannat, jokes about his Bollywood debut | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

US Ambassador Eric Garcetti, who has been on his visit to India, met Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday at his residence Mannat in Mumbai. They had a chat about the Indian film industry and discussed about the cultural impact of both Hollywood and Bollywood across the globe.
“Is it time for my Bollywood debut? Had a wonderful chat with superstar Shah Rukh Khan at his residence Mannat, learning more about the film industry in Mumbai and discussing the huge cultural impact of Hollywood and Bollywood across the globe,” Garcetti tweeted.

Garcetti’s Mumbai visit comes a day after he paid homage to the ‘Father of Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi at the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He was also seen spinning the ‘charkha’ at the ashram.

On Monday, Garcetti spoke about his love for India and its culture. He said that he had first come to India when he was a teenager and fell in love with the country, its hospitality and the connection between the people.
He further said that despite India has changed so much in terms of infrastructure over the years, the warmth and friendliness of everybody remains the same. He revealed that he had gone to Old Delhi and other places in the city during his first trip to India.
