Manchester United have released a statement acknowledging Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan. They have said the ‘club will consider its response after the full facts have been established’.
Clips of Ronaldo’s sit-down conversation with Morgan were aired on Sunday evening. The 37-year-old was heard accusing Ten Hag and the United executives of trying to force him out of the club and saying they had ‘betrayed him’.
The club have said they are focused on ‘preparing for the second half of the season and continuing their momentum’ after the Red Devils secured a 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday.
