Ultrahuman Ring Air launched in India: All you need to know – Times of India

Ultrahuman, a Bengaluru-based startup, has introduced a new wearable device called the Ultrahuman Ring Air, which succeeds the Ultrahuman Ring, launched last year. According to the company, this is the lightest sleep-tracking wearable in the world.
Ultrahuman Ring Air: Price, availability in India
The Ultrahuman Ring Air is available for purchase on the company’s website at an early bird price of Rs 24,999 for the first 1000 orders.
If you already have an Ultrahuman R1, you can get a Rs 5400 trade-in credit towards the purchase of the new ring. The company is also accepting Oura Gen 2 and Oura Gen 3 rings for trade-in.
Ultrahuman Ring Air: Specifications, features, and more
The Ultrahuman Ring Air has an outer shell made of fighter jet-grade Titanium and reinforced with Tungsten Carbide Carbon coating, and all these materials provide sturdiness to the structural integrity while keeping the weight light and providing extra protection against damage. The inside of the ring is lined with hypoallergenic epoxy resin for comfortable long-term wear. It’s incredibly lightweight, weighing only 2.4 grams, which is 11 times lighter than a typical smartwatch.
While the Ultrahuman Ring is essentially a sleep-tracking device, it also has some other features. One of these features is the Sleep Index, which thoroughly evaluates your sleep health by analysing various factors such as sleep duration, resting heart rate, and restfulness. With this intelligent feature, you can gain insights into the quality of your sleep.
This ring has advanced sensors that include Infrared Photoplethysmography (PPG), a non-contact skin temperature sensor, 6-axis motion sensors, and heart rate monitoring LEDs.
The skin temperature sensor does not require contact with the skin. This allows it to track changes in the body’s physiological responses to factors like exercise, stress, and illness. By using the Phase Response Curve (PRC), users can gain insights into their body’s circadian rhythm and how it responds to external stimuli.
Additionally, the Movement Index feature encourages users to lead an active lifestyle by optimising glucose metabolism and increasing non-exercise energy usage. Users can also benefit from Heart Rate Variability (HRV) insights to assess their body’s readiness for each day and promote better recovery.
The Ring Air takes benefit of the Ultrahuman M1 glucose monitoring system by providing users with detailed metabolism information and personalised health recommendations.
The ring can stay on for up to 6 days on one charge and has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE5) connectivity. It easily integrates with smartphones through the Ultrahuman App for a seamless connection.
