UFC Vegas 56: Ode’ Osbourne defeated Zarrukh Adashev.
Ode’ Osbourne defeated Zarrukh Adashev via knockout (strikes), Round 1 – 1:01 at UFC Vegas 56 on Saturday, live from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
“Yeah man, John Wood is one of the best coaches in the game and we’ve worked that… I knew he was used to seeing clean technical combos. So I knew I had to be me and fight,” said Osbourne who called out Jeff Molina. Osbourne was them able to get the entire UFC APEX to chant Ode’ before exiting the Octagon.

The fight ended almost as fast as it started. With Adashev coming forward and throwing, Osbourne stepped back and landed a counter right hook on the jaw that immediately dropped Adashev. Osbourne jumped right on top and landed a couple of quick strikes before the referee could move in and stop the fight. The spectacular knockout will likely earn Osbourne a performance bonus at the end of the night.
With the victory, Osbourne improved to 11-4, with one no contest. With three wins in his last four fights, Osbourne could soon to entering the flyweight division’s top 15 rankings. Adashev dropped to 4-4 in his MMA career. The former kickboxer has lost three of his last four fights and could be released by the UFC.
Osbourne might get his wish and get to fight Molina in his next fight. Mere minutes after being called out, Molina tweeted that “Ode can get it.” Molina is 11-2 in his career and has won all three of his fights since joining the UFC.
