Things have not been going well for Dan Hurley’s Connecticut Huskies in Big East play, but UConn has a chance to rebound on Tuesday against DePaul.
Hurley’s Huskies have dropped four of their last five games, falling all the way to No. 24 in the country in the process. The Blue Demons are on a three-game skid of their own, losing to Georgetown, Marquette and Providence.
The Big East is tough to figure out, as DePaul beat Xavier at home earlier this month, but the team has still struggled most of the time in conference play, covering the spread just twice in its last eight games.
Does UConn get back on track on the road on Tuesday?

The Huskies are not playing their best basketball at the moment, but I think they are undervalued against this DePaul team.
Don’t let the upset of Xavier fool you, the Blue Demons are terrible, ranking 255th in effective field goal percentage and 326th in opponent points per game this season. The Blue Demons are currently No. 135 in KenPom’s latest rankings.
The Huskies? Well, they still slot in at No. 6 in KenPom, and they have posted a top-50 scoring defense, ranking 13th in the country in opponent effective field goal percentage.
The defense is going to be there on a nightly basis for Hurley’s club, but the team has struggled scoring the ball as of late.
I think that changes against DePaul, who has allowed at least 71 points in five straight games.
The Blue Demons are under .500 against the spread this season, and they don’t have the offense to be able to attack UConn’s elite defense.
I’ll buy low on the struggling Huskies to get a convincing win on the road.
