Tyson Fury weighs in at 19 st 1lb ahead of his WBC World Championship defence on Saturday, while his opponent Derek Chisora comes in at 18 st 5lbs as they prepare to fight for the third time
Tyson Fury weighed in just eight pounds heavier than Derek Chisora – at 19 st 1lb – for their world title fight this Saturday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Chisora looked more trim than of late at 18 st 5lbs. Fury looked and appeared as good as his word that he has trained hard – complete with a couple of his familiar love handles.
The WBC heavyweight champion is due to defend his belt on Saturday after deciding to continue his boxing career.
It will be the third fight between the pair, with Fury winning both of their first two bouts.
Chisora, who has not fought for a world championship title since coming up against Vitali Klitschko in 2012, said after the weigh in: I’m buzzing I’m excited. Don’t miss it. It’s going to be electric.
‘We shook on it. We said we’ll go toe to toe, we’re going to have the best first round in boxing history.’
Tyson shouted: ‘Let’s give it to them tomorrow’ as the pair faced off, and later added: ‘[It’s] Absolutely fantastic.
‘I want to thank everyone that’s come out tonight. We’re going to put out a brilliant fight. Just expect carnage.’
The 34-year-old then added a note on the World Cup, saying to the crowd: ‘Guess what’s happening on Sunday. It’s coming home!’ Ahead of England’s World Cup clash with Senegal.
