Two Age of Empires games are coming to Xbox consoles and Xbox Cloud Gaming – Times of India
You heard that right. It’s happening and two titles in the beloved real time strategy franchise are confirmed for the console and the cloud. These are Age of Empires II: The Definitive Edition, which drops on Xbox console and Xbox Cloud Gaming on January 31, 2023, and the most-recent Age of Empires IV, which will arrive in the same year later but is yet to get a confirmed release date. The announcement was made by World’s Edge–the game developer helming the franchise currently– during an event marking the 25th anniversary of the Age of Empires franchise.
Age of Empires is Coming to Xbox Consoles
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will get crossplay support which means you can team up more easily with friends across PC, console and cloud. The game will also support keyboard and mouse inputs on console. Plus, a new controller tutorial has also been readied by World’s Edge, with a a revamped onboarding experience for new players. An AI system to make resource management more efficient has also been added.
