‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ box office day 5: Ranbir Kapoor starrer holds well on Sunday – Times of India

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ which released on Wednesday, March 8 on the occasion of Holi, picked up very well over the weekend. On Saturday, the film collected around 13 crore nett while the Sunday collection has gone a notch higher.
The growth in the numbers is seen in multiplexes in big cities. So, as per trade website boxofficeindia.com, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ has garnered around 14.75 crore nett and with that, the film’s collection is now 60 crore. While the growth of the film has been limited in mass centres and single screens, it has picked up very well in cities.

The Saturday and Sunday business of the film looks encouraging enough for it to hold in the coming days. It has increased its chances of survival at the box-office in the coming days. However, the film will have to hold well on Monday in cities like Mumbai for it to do better in terms of the numbers and make a mark.
Yesterday, Ranbir Kapoor paid a surprise visit to a theatre in Mumbai and fans couldn’t help but scream and shout! This Friday sees the release of ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ starring Rani Mukerji along with Kapil Sharma starrer ‘Zwigito’. If the word of mouth is good for these releases, they shall pose as a major competition for ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.
