Trevor Bauer faces another sexual assault allegation, ‘held steak knife to woman’s throat’

Former LA Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer is denying the latest sexual assault allegations against him after being accused by an Arizona woman of raping her and choking her unconscious.

The alleged incident reportedly took place in Arizona in late 2020, with the woman alleging that Bauer raped her, getting her pregnant, and held a steak knife to her throat, according to USA Today.

The woman is the fourth to come forward and make similar allegations against the former MLB player.  She originally filed her claim against him in December 2022 and reportedly amended her civil complaint to detail her encounters with him on Tuesday.

During one incident in her filing, the woman alleged that Bauer bodyslammed her while knowing she was pregnant and said he would no longer be in a relationship with her if she had his baby.

Bauer ‘categorically denies’ the accusations, according a statement provided to DailyMail.com by his co-agents, Jon Fetterolf and Rachel Luba, and a recently surfaced counterclaim filed in Maricopa County, Arizona in April.

Pitcher Trevor Bauer has been accused by a woman of raping her and choking her unconscious

‘Trevor Bauer categorically denies this woman’s unhinged allegations,’ the statement began. ‘She has made four documented multi-million-dollar extortion demands over the last two years, which prompted Mr. Bauer to file a criminal complaint against her. He is also actively suing her for fraud.

‘Her claims are untethered to reality and change as often as she changes lawyers. First, she sought money to terminate an alleged pregnancy, then she claimed – among other things – that she was distressed from having an abortion, and now her newest claim suggests for the first time that she had a miscarriage.

‘This woman has published public YouTube videos, done sit-down interviews with multiple entities, and filed a public complaint against Mr. Bauer. Despite her numerous attempts to have her lies publicized, every entity that reviewed the facts and evidence — including multiple news organizations — recognized how ridiculous her claims are and declined to publish these obviously false and defamatory allegations.

‘That is, until USA Today failed to consider any underlying information except the woman’s allegations in a rush to publish her stale claims and provide a vehicle for her fraud. Worse yet, through their lack of diligence, USA Today failed to even note that this woman filed yet another version of her claim the same day it published its story. USA Today’s reporting is as reckless as the fraudulent claims of this woman.’

In a previous alleged encounter, Bauer is claimed to have choked the woman unconscious with her butterfly braids.

She sought $3.7 million in her suit against Bauer and demanded an ‘apology to any women the defendant has sexually humiliated and abused against their consent,’ according to USA Today’s report.

Bauer, who now plays in Japan, has  denied the allegations in court records and has countersued.

The 2020 Cy Young Award winner’s countersuit shut down the allegation, calling it extortion, and accused the woman of fraud and fabricating her pregnancy.

His legal team have argued the Arizona woman’s complaint is ‘another attempt to harass and extort Mr. Bauer.’

They claim that Bauer had a single sexual encounter with the woman in December 2020 and that the condom broke. The woman allegedly claimed she was pregnant and asked for $1.6 million to terminate the pregnancy.

Bauer, who reportedly recorded the demand, declined to pay and told her the decision whether to terminate the pregnancy or have the baby was her own but that he would support her choice either way, according to his April countersuit.

It additionally claimed that Bauer said he would pay medical expenses or child support required by law.

His countersuit added that he allegedly paid $8,761 for the expenses related to her ‘alleged pregnancy and its subsequent termination.’

It then stated that, ‘based on (the woman’s) demand letter and failure to provide any medical records to substantiate her pregnancy or termination thereof, Mr. Bauer now believes that (the woman) fabricated her pregnancy to try to extort him for money.’

According to USA Today, the woman claimed in an amended complaint on Tuesday that she ultimately didn’t terminate the pregnancy but suffered a miscarriage in April 2021.

Bauer has moved to Japan to play professionally on a one-year deal in an attempt to prove himself and return to the majors.

He was unable to find work in the major leagues after an arbitrator reduced his unprecedented 324-game suspension for violating the league’s domestic violence and sexual assault policy to 194 games.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred suspended Bauer last April for violating the league’s domestic violence and sexual assault policy, after a San Diego woman Lindsey Hill said he beat and sexually abused her in 2021.

Bauer has maintained he did nothing wrong, saying everything that happened between him and the woman was consensual. He was never charged with a crime.

His latest countersuit claimed that he met the Arizona woman through Instagram, in a similar way he met Hill, who was the first to make allegations against him back in June 2021.

After Hill came forward, two Ohio women made similar allegations against him in the Washington Post.

Bauer’s legal team have now noted that the Arizona woman’s demand letter, which was reportedly sent via an attorney, came through months after Hill came forward.

They added that she made her accusations for the first time then, ‘echoing claims made by his public accuser (Hill).’

Scottsdale Police said, via USA Today, that they have a report of sexual assault against Bauer dated December 20 but that no charges were filed and that the case in ‘inactive.’

Bauer joined his hometown Dodgers before the 2021 season and was 8-5 with a 2.59 ERA in 17 starts before being placed on paid leave. The Dodgers cut him in January but owe him $22.5 million this season.
