Trailer of ‘Maidaan’ to be out this Christmas, film to release on February 17 – Times of India

Ajay Devgn is riding high on the success of ‘Drishyam 2’ as the film as crossed Rs 187 crore at the box-office. It gave a sigh of relief to the industry that was struggling for those big numbers. Making the most of that, the makers of his next, ‘Maidaan’ have decided to release the film’s trailer on Christmas.

‘Maidaan’ is a biopic on Syed Abdul Rahim, who was an Indian footbal coach and manager of the Indian national team from the 1950s to the 60s. Ajay plays the role of Rahim in the film directed by Amit Sharma. Producer Boney Kapoor has confirmed in an interview with Pinkvilla, that the film is well on track and the release is confirmed for a February 17 release. He said that the film is currently working on the theatrical trailer which should be unveiled around Christmas. AR Rahman is at present working on the film’s background score.

The producer who is making is acting debut with Luv Ranjan’s next revealed that it’s going to be a packed first quarter of 2023 for him. His south film, ‘Thunivu’ with Ajith Kumar will release on Pongal, ‘Maidaan’ will release on February 17 and on March 8, his acting debut movie, Luv Ranjan’s next is set to release. This film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
