1. TATA Altroz EV

TATA Motors is one of the pioneers of the EV segment in India. The manufacturer offers several EV options such as the TATA Nexon EV, TATA Tigor EV and the recently launched TATA Nexon EV Max. Now, TATA is gearing up for the launch of the TATA Altroz EV. It is expected to be identical in terms of looks to the current Altroz. According to Tech Radar, it is expected to be powered by the TATA Ziptron technology with a 129PS electric motor and a 30.2kWh battery pack. TATA Altroz EV is expected to have a range of 312 kms on a full charge.

2. Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV is expected to be a CBU, therefore priced significantly higher than the Hyundai Kona Electric. It has two battery packs offering 58kWh and 72.6kWh capacity with a range of 385km and 481km respectively. The EV is likely to come in AWD and RWD options in India.

3. TATA Punch EV

Yet another EV from TATA, the Punch EV is expected to have a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack powering a 129bhp electric motor based on TATA Ziptron Technology. It is rumoured to launch around October this year.

4. Renault K-ZE EV

The Renault K-ZE EV is based on the same platform as Renault Kwid. It is already on the roads in China and is expected to launch in India soon. The car has a 26.8kWh battery pack powering a 44hp electric motor with 125 Nm of torque.

5. Mahindra eKUV 100

Mahindra is expected to launch the EV variant of its KUV100 soon in India. It is rumoured to have a 15.9kWh battery pack powering an electric motor with 120Nm torque. The eKUV100 is also expected to have a fast-charging feature with up to 80 percent charge in 55 minutes. According to CarDekho, it is expected to launch around March 2023.
