Saturday is here! And it means the two-short days to relax and binge-watch movies and shows are also here. And there is no dearth of good content this week. Some exciting new OTT releases are sure to keep you entertained throughout. The biggest name is definitely the SS Rajamouli directed and N.T. Rama Rao Jr (Jr. NTR) and Ram Charan starrer RRR which has become a global blockbuster. Alongside is the second season of the cult classic web series Panchayat season 2 byt TVF where Jitendra Kumar has once again displayed his relatable acting to win over the audience. RRR on Netflix and Zee5

RRR or ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’ in Telugu (in English, it’s Rise Roar Revolt) has been making records since the day it was released. The movie hit the silver screen on March 25, 2022. On day one, the movie clocked a box office collection of Rs. 240 crores. Not stopping there, the movie has made a staggering Rs. 1,131.9 crores worldwide so far. And now, the big budget action drama movie RRR starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and more is available to watch on Netflix (in Hindi) and Zee5 (in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam).

Interestingly, the movie made its Netflix debut on the birthday of Jr NTR, which was yesterday.

Panchayat Season 2 on Amazon Prime Videos

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra who has also directed web series like Permanent Roommates and Kota Factory, the comedy drama Panchayat Season 2 also features Jitendra Kumar in the lead role. The story of Panchayat takes place in Uttar Pradesh where due to lack of jobs Abhishek, played by Jitendra Kumar, is forced to take up the position of a Panchayat secretary in a remote village called Phulera. The second season, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime continues the journey of Abhishek through hilarious and dramatic twists and turns.

12th Man on Disney+ Hotstar

The Malayalam-language mystery thriller film directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor finally was released on Disney+ Hotstar yesterday. The movie stars Mohanlal who gained fame from movies like Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, Aaraattu and Drishyam 2. According to the director, the movie tells the story of 12 people, with about 90 percent of the film is set in a single location, and that “12th Man is a mystery that compares to the likes of films based on Agatha Christie’s books”.

Bhala Thandanana on Disney+ Hotstar

This Telugu-language action-thriller features Sree Vishnu, Catherine Tresa and Ramachandra Raju in leading roles. Directed by Chaitanya Dantuluri, the movie tells the story of an accountant in an orphanage who meets an investigative journalist who is trying to crack a series of cold-blooded murders.

Jersey on Netflix

The Hindi sports-drama features the father-son duo Pankaj Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor in an emotional and inspiring journey that involves the favorite Indian sport – Cricket. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the movie is based on the 2019 Telugu film of the same name. The movie follows the story of a cricketer who quits cricket initially but decides to revive his career at the age of 36 for his son’s dream of a jersey and to eventually prove his ability.
