Since moving into Boxing following an eight-year UFC spell where he won the Welterweight Championship, Woodley has competed twice and lost both bouts to Jake Paul.

The 40-year-old first battled Paul over eight rounds in August 2021, and was then a late replacement for an injured Fury four months later, where he lost to the 25-year-old via a knockout.

Woodley weighed in at 190lb for both his defeats to Paul, while undefeated Fury came in at 176lb for his win over Daniel Bocianski for his last fight in April.

The former Love Island contestant, who has eight wins from eight fights so far in his career, had been expected to face Jake Paul after twice pulling out of matches with the social media star turned boxer.

Fury first had to postpone a meeting with Paul due to a rib injury before a rescheduled fight in August was curtailed following an issue with his US visa.

The match against Woodley is set for the undercard for Mayweather’s latest exhibition comeback, set to be against Deji – the brother of KSI.

Deji, a former YouTuber and gamer like his brother, secured his first win in the ring back in August, defeating online rival Fousey.

If the fight with 47-year-old Mayweather is confirmed, it work mark the former multi-time world champion’s fifth exhibition fight since retiring in 2017.

He’s already beaten kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, in one comical round victory back in 2018, then went an eight-round distance with Logan Paul, before battling former sparring partner Don Moore.

Mayweather will next face MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura on September 25 before the possible showdown with Deji in Dubai.
