Tommy Fury wasn’t in attendance for the first press conference for his fight with Jake Paul because of a family emergency.
As reported by talkSPORT, Tommy, the younger brother of Tyson Fury, is set to take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul in Florida on December 18.
Tommy Fury had been expected to attend the press conference but had to fly back to the UK, with Marcos Villegas of Fight Hub reporting that his mother is unwell.

Jake Paul sent his best wishes to Tommy’s mother.
He said: ‘I’m upset that Tommy’s not here. I know he’s taking care of his mother and I respect that as a man. I hope she’s okay.’
Later, though, Paul began trash talking his opponent.
Tommy Fury will be coached by SugarHill Steward, who helped Tyson to secure knockout wins against Deontay Wilder. SugarHill was present at the press conference.

It was previously confirmed that Tyson will fly out to the United States to help train Tommy, with the Gypsy King set to join SugarHill in his corner for the fight.
Tommy Fury has won all seven of his fights so far; four by knockout and three by decision.
Meanwhile, Paul has prevailed in all four of his fights to date.
