Tom Cruise shares BTS clip from ‘Mission: Impossible’ sets; actor jumps off plane, rides bike off cliff to shoot death-defying stunt scenes – Times of India
Taking to his social media handles, the actor gave fans an official BTS look of all the action on the sets as he performs death-defying stunts on land and air. Once again, the actor put his life on the line and jumped out of a plane to shoot a stunt scene and deliver a message of thanks to all his fans.
“Hey everyone, here we are over stunning South Africa, and we’re filming ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’ parts one and two,” Cruise yells to a camera over the blaring ambient sound.

The actor showed off his daring side while extending a thank you to fans for making his last release ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ a big box office success. “I didn’t want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theatres, and thank you for supporting ‘Top Gun: Maverick’,” he said. The film became the second Hollywood movie to hit the 1 billion mark this year, only behind ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
A little over 20 seconds in, the camera pans to reveal Christopher McQuarrie, who returns to the ‘Mission: Impossible’ series to helm ‘Dead Reckoning’. McQuarrie also wrote ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and produced the action feature, alongside Cruise and David Ellison.
“As always, thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honor of a lifetime. I’m running out of altitude, so I’ve got to get back to work. We’ve got to get this shot. You have a very safe and happy holiday. We’ll see you at the movies,” Cruise concludes, before being whisked away in a wind current toward the ocean.
He followed up the post with another tweet that gave fans a BTS look at all the action that has been going on around the ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’ sets. After giving fans a glimpse of his sky-diving skills, Tom even showed off all the practice that went into creating a bike stunt. According to the actor, the stunt will see him ride a bike off a cliff after which he lands with the help of a parachute.
