The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has made headlines for his on-field frustrations this season. He threw a tablet to the ground in September and has been caught on camera ranting at his teammates on more than one occasion.

American comedian and actor Adam Sandler appeared on Brady’s latest SiriusXM podcast Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray Monday and asked the seven-time Super Bowl winner how he spurs himself on.
Brady replied: ‘I think there’s one emotion that I have to try to find and that’s anger, you know? And naturally I would say I’m pretty mellow, you know, off the field.
‘But anger is the one emotion that works for me. So when I don’t feel it and you guys see me [saying], you know, ‘motherf*****,’ that is in trying to get me going.’

It had been a tight contest until the fourth quarter and the tension clearly got to Brady
Most recently Brady screamed ‘what the f*** is that?’ at his teammates before helping the Bucs beat the New Orleans Saints 17-16 earlier this month. In their win over the same team weeks earlier Brady was spotted throwing a team tablet to the ground.
Brady has dealt with woes on and off the pitch this season after finalizing his divorce with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen in October following weeks of speculation.
Brady admitted on a previous podcast that he had to maintain a clear sense of perspective on the field amid his turbulent personal life.
‘I think there’s so many ways for me that it just keeps great perspective for me in my life,’ Brady said. ‘Why have I done it as long as I have? You know, physically, I’ve explained that and I’ve tried to take care of myself.

The 45-year-old recently opened up on the distractions and emotional challenges of playing
‘You know, mentally, and as we talked about with Coach [Sean] Payton, there’s such a drive mentally to always come up with the next great play, or the next great concept, or the next great scream.
‘And then emotionally, that’s where I think as you get older the challenges really come in, you know, because we can get distracted by other parts of life and not distracted in a bad way but there’s priorities that take over.
‘So I’ve tried my best over the years to maintain what’s important to me. And been very fortunate to play a sport that I love. And, as I said, why do I play? Because the competition is great.
‘Obviously, it’s a great thrill and joy to go out there and play, but you’re just, you’re a part of something that’s way bigger than yourself and there’s something to be said about that.’
