Tiger Woods looked in good shape on Saturday as he got underway at the PNC Championship in Florida, where he is playing alongside his son Charlie at the competition.
Early footage from the round showed Woods Snr chipping in for an eagle and ripping a 180mph drive 306 yards.
In the build-up to the event, Woods admitted he was putting his recovery from his foot issue, plantar fasciitis, on pause to play with his 13-year-old son Charlie.
He admitted that playing in the 36-hole tournament could set him back.

Woods admitted he was pausing his recovery from a foot issue to compete with Charlie
‘I think being there with and alongside my son is far more important, and [getting] to have a chance to have this experience with him is far better than my foot being a little creaky,’ Woods said.
‘Any time I get a chance to spend time with my son, it’s always special. And to do it in a competitive forum, the last couple of years have been magical, and to be able to do it again, we’re looking forward to it.’
Woods now has plantar fasciitis in his right foot that forced him to withdraw from his Hero World Challenge two weeks ago.
The PNC Championship, which pairs major champions with a family member, is sanctioned by the PGA Tour Champions. That means Woods is allowed to ride a cart.

Going forward, Woods isn’t sure what to expect on his recovery.
‘If I didn´t have the plantar feeling like this, then, yes, I could tell you that and I´d have a better idea,’ Woods said.
‘But I´m supposed to be resting this thing and stretching and letting it heal. But I´m not doing that at the moment.’
