Throwback video of Shah Rukh Khan saying Aryan Khan will perform ‘main pooja’ on Diwali resurfaces as star kid’s custody gets extended till October 30 – Times of India

As news of Aryan Khan’s judicial custody being extended till October 30 broke, fans have taken to social media to debate whether he will be by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s side for Diwali.

There is uncertainty if he will be released from Arthur Road jail on November 1, as courts in the country will close for the Diwali break until November 7.

As celebrities, fans and even politicians cry foul about the developments of this case, a throwback video of Aryan performing pooja with his family on the occasion of Diwali has resurfaced online. The video posted by a fan, believed to be from 2002, sees a young Aryan ecstatic to perform the pooja at his home with dad SRK, mom Gauri and sister Suhana looking on.

The clip also has Shah Rukh saying, “Aryan knows the Gayatri Mantra. He will conduct the main pooja.”

He goes on to add, “Children should know about the value of god, whether it is a Hindu god or a Muslim god. Next to Ganesha and Laxmi, we have the Quran also there. We put our hands together and my son says the Gayatri Mantra and I say ‘Bismillah'”

A special NCB court on Thursday extended the judicial custody of the eight accused, including Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant, till October 30 it was revealed.

The accused were not produced in court either physically or through video conference.

The development comes a day after the court rejected their bail pleas in the drugs case. Post that, the star kid approached the Bombay High Court seeking bail, which will be heard on October 26.

It was reported that Khan’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde requested an urgent hearing before Justice Nitin Sambre. Interestingly, he also requested the Court to hear the matter through video conference stating the Senior Counsel, who would be arguing as lead counsel in the matter has made such a request.

This could mean that Khan has engaged a lawyer outside Mumbai for appearing on behalf of him in the High Court.
