Talking to Humans Of Bombay, Ankita had shared that she was grieving the passing of her then-boyfriend and had decided to move out of the country. However, destiny had other plans for her. She met Milind at her hotel lobby and later again at the hotel’s nightclub. They both kept looking at each other here and there. She revealed that her friends urged her to go and talk to him and so she went and asked him for a dance and he obliged.

Elaborating further, Ankita added that they began texting each other and going out for dinners. But one day, Ankita opened up about her past which also included her late boyfriend and Milind reacted by saying that when he fell in love with her, he fell in love with all of her which includes the part that carries the burden of her past. The actor also told her that they are in this together. Ankita added that that was the moment she knew Milind was the man that was meant for her.

After dating for five long years, Milind and Ankita tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Alibaug in 2018.
