According to a report in a news portal, as the event is no longer happening, instead of returning to Mumbai, the actress has jetted off to the Maldives with her husband Ranveer Singh to ring in her birthday.

The report also stated that the trailer launch got called off as many in their team got tested positive for COVID-19 including multiple ADs of director Shakun Batra. However, there is no update on other cast members.

Apart from Deepika, the film also stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles. It also features Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in key roles.

On the work front, Deepika has a line-up of some very interesting films in her kitty. She will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’ where she will be sharing the screen space with Hrithik Roshan for the first time. She also has the filmmaker’s ‘Pathan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham.

The actress will also be reuniting with her ‘Piku’ co-star Amitabh Bachchan in ‘The Intern’ remake and Nag Ashwin’s next with Prabhas.

She was last seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’ co-starring Ranveer Singh and others. The actress had also co-produced the movie.
