The Wildest Runway Details of 2022

Fashion obsessives, rejoice! Over the last few weeks, we spent countless thoroughly entertaining hours combing through every single Details gallery Vogue Runway posted this year. We looked for the zaniest, coolest, craziest close-ups of 2022, and at last, here they are.

While going over the hundreds (or thousands? Not sure, we lost count halfway through the resort 2023 shows) of images, we selected exactly 187 to include in seven entirely made-up categories of superlatives. Are hats your thing? Or is it shoes you prefer? Perhaps you can’t get Taylor Swift’s “Bejeweled” out of your mind (thanks, TikTok), or you’re one of us and like to zoom into runway looks and simply ask the universe, “How did they make that?” 

As a little bonus, we also identified some miscellaneous details, and spotted some of the year’s most outlandish beauty looks. From funny model tattoos and fake piercings, to gelled out hair and little animal sidekicks, 2022 was the year to embrace the random.
