The Votes Are Counted. Taco Bell Will Bring Back This Discontinued Menu Item in 2022

One group of passionate fast-food fans has cause to celebrate.

After announcing on Sept. 27 that it would bring back a discontinued menu item, Taco Bell on Friday revealed which one it will be and when you can snag one. Word of the victor comes after customers voted in Taco Bell’s app for either the Double Decker Taco or the Enchirito.

Cue a plastic-fork-and-knife drumroll, please. The cheesy, beefy, saucy Enchirito bested its opponent, receiving 62% of votes by the time voting closed on Thursday. Fans cast more than 760,000 votes, according to Taco Bell.

Though the fast-food chain previously said the item would return for a limited time, I didn’t anticipate it being this limited. The Enchirito will be up for grabs from Nov. 17 through Nov. 30. (That gives you about two weeks to revisit the dish.) You’ll be able to order it through online, for delivery, through Taco Bell’s app or via in-store kiosks nationwide, according to the restaurant.

Taco Bell discontinued the Enchirito in 2013. The savory item consists of a beef-, bean- and onion-loaded soft flour tortilla, which is rolled up, coated in red sauce and topped with cheddar cheese.

If McDonald’s is also one of your fast-food faves, you can stop by now for an adult-oriented boxed meal or, in late October, a boo bucket.
