‘The Second Husband’ stars Uhm Hyun Kyung and Cha Seo Won confirm pregnancy rumours; say marriage is on the cards – Times of India
On June 5, Korean news agencies have confirmed that the couple is set to welcome their first baby together and have marriage on the cards. According to reports on Hankook Ilbo, the two started their off-screen romance after wrapping up work on their show.
Uhm Hyun Kyung’s agency Yeojin Entertainment confirmed in a statement that the actors plan on tying the knot soon after the actor is discharged from his military service.
“Uhm Hyun Kyung and Cha Seo Won are dating with marriage in mind. They plan on holding their wedding after Cha Seo Won is discharged from the military. The wedding date has not been set yet. It is also true that Uhm Hyun Kyung is pregnant,” read the statement.
Cha Seo Won’s agency also released a statement, revealing, “The two actors Cha Seo Won and Uhm Hyun Kyung got to know each other through their drama, and they developed feelings for each other after the conclusion of the drama and started a relationship. The two are dating with marriage in mind, and they will hold their wedding after Cha Seo Won is discharged from the military.”
The agency added, “Amidst this, a precious new life came to the two like a blessing. The two are currently waiting for the new life with caution and gratitude. We ask for your understanding in not being able to share further details so they can share this blessing quietly and reverently.”
Asking fans for their blessings, the note concluded, “We express deep gratitude to those who always love and watch over actor Cha Seo Won, and we ask that you express support and watch them with warmth in the future.”
Uhm Hyun Kyung made her onscreen debut with the sitcom ‘Rainbow Romance‘ in 2006 and has since gone on to star in various hit dramas including ‘Defendant’, ‘Single Wife’, ‘A Man in a Veil’, among others.
Cha Seo Won, on the other hand, made his debut in the 2013 series ‘Heirs’. He has since gone on to appear in dramas including ‘Liver or Die’, ‘Unintentional Love Story’, and many others.
Besides starring in ‘The Second Husband’, the two stars also worked together on the drama ‘Miss Lee’ in 2019.
Cha Seo Won enlisted in the military in November 2022 and will likely be discharged from his duties next year.
