By far one of the most exciting trends I’m embracing this year are bright and bold metallics. Eye-catching silver and gold hues, in particular, had a huge presence on the Spring/Summer 2023 runways—spotted on everything from outerwear, to shoes, pants to handbags at shows such as Tory Burch, Nensi Dojka, Bottega Veneta, Paco Rabanne, Valentino, Gucci, JW Anderson, Jason Wu—the list goes on.
While metallics usually get their time to shine in fall and winter what makes metallics feel so fresh and alluring is the idea of adding them effortlessly into our warm-weather wardrobes. (And don’t worry, they’ll certainly be sticking around for the colder season too after spotting them far and wide on the recent F/W 23 runways).
How fun and refreshingly cool to pair your white tank top with relaxed silver pants, or your jeans with gold Mary-Janes, or giving a casual little white dress an of-the-moment touch with a silver handbag. Quite honestly, the styling options are endless and above all exciting—proving that metallics are versatile, modern, and cool for both day and night.
