‘The Rings of Power’ debuted online with two episodes and fans are already picking their favourites. Morfydd Clark as Galadriel and Rob Aramayo as Elrond were some of the performers who stood out as clear favourites. This could also be as the two are among the few characters who are returning to screens after they first appeared in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ movie franchises.

Set thousands of years before J.R.R. Tolkien’s original trilogy and The Hobbit, the series created by JD Payne, it explores the major events in Middle-earth Second Age with some all new characters. Despite the great reviews, the show has also been receiving some criticism by ‘true fans’ or ‘fans of the books’. However, despite some negativity, many who watched the series have tweeted, “Don’t listen to the “real fans” who have made up their minds about this show before they even watched a frame. Watch for yourselves when it comes out.”
Another said, “Try not to go in with a mental scorecard seeing if it passes or fails your test. Enjoy the adventure and story. Allow yourself to be swept up in the beauty of Middle-earth. It is enchanting if you allow it to be.”
