The last fashion film Bappi Lahiri shot for released a day before his death – Times of India
To showcase the brand’s signature maximalism and love for colour, the creative duo got on board, late Bappi Lahiri to feature in a fashion film for their Spring Summer collection – Disco 22, which is being dubbed as a tribute to the raging 70s and the roaring 80s with a range inspired by the greatest names in music and a palette of psychedelics.
Unfortunately, the fashion film featuring Bappi Da released just a day before his shocking death.
At the launch of the fashion film, the label posted this on Instagram. “After two dark years, we want to encourage people to dance like no one’s watching – experience moments of feeling truly free, decadent, and joyous. Featuring in our film is the one and only musical maestro, the legendary Bappi Lahiri, a mega icon who has made many generations dance. Come, get on the floor with us.”
Well, the film vent viral instantly, but who had known that this is the last time we’ll get to see Bappi Da, doing his class antics for his fans.
The film has Bappi Da dressed in a blingy blue suit and with trademark gold jewellery and hit track ‘Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Aaja’ playing in the background.
We send out condolences to the family of this great musician.
