Randhir Kapoor was accompanied by his caretakers as he walked towards the venue with the help of a walking stick. Tusshar Kapoor was seen in white shirt, distressed denims paired with blue blazer.
Anupam Kher, who plays the role of Pushkar Nath Pandit in the film, arrived in black shirt and trousers. He posed with director Vivek Agnihotri, who was also in black. Darshan Kumaar, who plays Krishna Pandit in the film, was seen in black shirt, trousers and purple blazer.
The Kashmir Files is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley in 1990. Director Vivek Agnihotri says, “The Kashmir Files movie is based on true stories and about the genocide against Kashmiri Hindus. The movie was made after collecting testimonies from the victims and conducting four years of research.” It also stars Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi.
The Hindustan Times review of the film read, “Showing the events in the most brutal and explosive manner, Agnihotri’s narrative triggers varied emotions coupled with some of the finest performances, emotionally moving scenes and a few barbaric sequences.”
Vivek recently expressed his disappointment at not being invited to The Kapil Sharma Show for promoting The Kashmir Files. After a fan expressed his desire on Twitter to see the film’s promotion on The Kapil Sharma Show, Vivek tweeted, “I don’t get to decide who should be invited on @KapilSharmaK9 show. It’s his and his producers choice whom he wants to invite. As far as Bollywood is concerned, I’d say what once Mr. Bachchan was quoted saying about Gandhis: Vo raja hai hum rank.”
Previously, Vivek had shared that he was not invited to the show because his film does not “have big commercial star”. Kapil however, denied the same and said it was not true.
