The Best Dressed Stars This Week Focused on Silhouette

This week’s best dressed group of stars embraced major silhouettes on the red carpet. Whether they were squeezing in a final fashion show at the end of Paris Fashion Week, or attending a Hollywood movie premiere, A-listers gravitated towards designs that had a distinctive shape—be it slinky (and sexy) gowns, or oversized suiting.

In Paris, there were some unconventional silhouettes in the front rows of the spring 2023 shows. At Louis Vuitton, Cynthia Erivo chose the label’s bronze criss-cross top, paired with royal blue harem pants (even more impressive, she also attended the show just two days after having run a marathon). At Chanel, Kristen Stewart paired a tweed mini skirt with a monogrammed sweater. Meanwhile, at a Miu Miu dinner, Bella Hadid opted for a vintage shape: She wore Prada’s rumpled silk bra, jacket, and skirt from its spring 2009 collection.

Some of the week’s biggest movie premieres also delivered on the fashion front. For a Bones & All screening in New York, Chloë Sevigny slipped into Jacquemus’s sheer white dress with tulle detailing (it could also be a chic wedding dress!). For the Causeway premiere in London, Jennifer Lawrence also broke her Dior streak by rocking Del Core’s embellished black gown, complete with sheer sleeves; It was a fresh, modern take on the classic LBD. Clearly, black doesn’t have to mean boring!
