Team SA adds 5 medals to tally at Special Olympics World Games

JOHANNESBURG – Team South Africa added five more medals to its tally at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin, Germany.
The Special Olympics World Summer Games ran from 17 to 25 June.
Kamogelo Moncho, who earlier in the week snatched gold in the men’s 5,000m final at the Olympia Stadium scooped a bronze medal in the 1,500m track race.

Jennifer Higgins swam away with a bronze medal in the 100m butterfly.
Two other South African swimmers took to the podium in the 100m backstroke, with Melokuhle Dube bagging a gold medal in the men’s category and Bronwyn Ramathula clinching a gold medal in the Women’s race.

Meanwhile, Wynand Swanepoel won his Silver medal for Boccie.
