Taylor Swift, Maren Morris set the stage on fire in Chicago
According to a fan-captured video during the concert, Taylor Swift said, “Tonight, I’m gonna play a song I’ve never played live before. When I was re-recording Fearless, I thought it would be really cool to have one of my favorite artists sing on one of the songs ‘From the Vault.’ We are so lucky Chicago … because not only did that artist say ‘yes,’ but Maren Morris is actually here tonight.”
Soon after, the singer, who has sung “My Church”, appeared on the stage. On this, the audience gave a huge round of applause. Both the singers were wielding their acoustic guitars and started singing “You All Over Me,” a fan-beloved “From the Vault” track off of Fearless (Taylor’s Version).
At the centerstage, Swift and Morris brought the plaintive country ballad to life for the first time in front of a live audience.
With a black-and-white photo of her and Swift performing together, Maren Morris, while expressing her gratitude to both the 33-year-old singer and the audience, wrote on Instagram shortly after the show, “We finally got to play ‘You All Over Me’ and I won’t ever be shutting up about it. Love you @taylorswift and love you always, Chicago.”
During her Eras Tour stops around the country, Morris is not the only surprise guest Swift has brought out. In New Jersey, Ice Spice appeared to perform the remix of “Karma” for all three nights of the singer’s MetLife Stadium mini-residency.In the past, guests like Aaron Dessner, Marcus Mumford and Jack Antonoff have also been featured.FAQs
