Sutton hails Postecoglou’s ‘gutsy’ Celtic as he draws Kyogo-Larsson comparison

CHRIS SUTTON has hailed Ange Postecoglou’s team as “gutsy” after the Premier Sports Cup triumph at Hampden.

The Celtic hero was quick to congratulate the Parkhead boss for his “incredible job” as he celebrated his first trophy with the club after joining in the summer.

Sutton saluted the character of the Celtic first-team after coming back from a goal down in the final to run out 2-1 victors.

Posting on Twitter, he wrote: “Ange Postecoglou has done an incredible job in a few months.

“Fair play to him and this gutsy Celtic team. Hibs gave it a real go second half.”

Ex-striker Sutton went on to lavish praise on Kyogo after his Cup final winning double at Hampden.

The Japanese international was a fitness doubt but played from the start as he dragged his side to victory with two goals of real quality.

The first, just seconds after Hibs tool the lead, saw him take a superb touch before blasting past Matt Macey.

And for his second he was quick to make a run in-behind and lob the ball over Macey before the Hibs defence were prepared.

The superb double led to Sutton to draw a comparison between Kyogo’s goals and that of former strike partner and Celtic legend Henrik Larsson.

He added: “Kyogo incredible finishes Larsson like.”
